Chris Aplin

Chris Aplin is an ethnomusicologist and independent scholar, affiliated with the University of Oklahoma's Center for Applied Social Research, who has worked with the Fort Sill Chiricahua/Warm Springs Apache community for about two decades. His work documents Native American music, language, and history in historical sound recordings, including a book project on the music of the Apache prisoners of war taken with Geronimo in 1886, and he received a GRAMMY Museum grant to digitize American Indian Soundchiefs recordings.
