Ruth Jimenez Nina is a Quechua linguist from Bolivia and a first-language Quechua speaker, formerly a Fulbright Quechua teaching assistant in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds a bachelor's in applied linguistics from San Simón University in Cochabamba and a master's in Indo-American linguistics from CIESAS in Mexico City. Her work spans Quechua teaching, community documentation, and grassroots digital activism, including her social-media project Qhichwa Nina and her volunteer linguistic work on SIMI, the first mobile app for learning Bolivian Quechua.
