Misinformation
False or misleading information presented as fact. Because a language model is probabilistic and states wrong answers as fluently as right ones, it can generate plausible errors and spread them at scale (see Ojibwe Chat). In a low-resource language setting this is especially dangerous, because there may be too few speakers to catch and correct an error before it is taught, trusted, or fed back into the next model (see Data Scraping).
