Paul V. Kroskrity is a Distinguished Professor of Anthropology and American Indian Studies at UCLA and a past president of the Society for Linguistic Anthropology. A linguistic anthropologist, he studies language ideologies, verbal art, and language endangerment and revitalization, working since the 1970s with the Arizona Tewa and Western (North Fork) Mono communities.
