Hunter Thompson Lockwood is a linguist in the Language Research Office at the Myaamia Center, Miami University (Ohio), where he documents and helps reclaim the Miami-Illinois language. An Algonquianist who completed his PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he previously helped build a community dictionary and grammar of Forest County Potawatomi and works on the Miami Tribe's Indigenous Language Digital Archive (ILDA).
